Oshino Hakkai



Oshino Hakkai has used to be a lake, which dried up and only remained places of spring water flow from aquifere as ponds. Hakkai (Japanese 八海)means 8 seas, it was because of the sacred place, pilgrimage journey go thruogh 8 ponds for cleansing body, mind and spirit before climb Mt. Fuji.
