The real world of great scenery in the fantasy-anime, Castle in the Sky

"Ghibli Anime movie" that keep continuing to produce unbeatable masterpieces. If you are reading this article, you must have seen one of them at least. Among those Ghibli Anime movies, "Castle in the Sky" is a particularly popular, and wondering that many people now would go on a journey to search places like in the movie all over the world. Takeda Castle Ruins 竹田城跡

Takeda Castle Ruins in Hyogo is one of the Castle Ruins which is very famous, and it has great view with sea of clouds, very mysterious like the movie "Castle in the sky". This is the place where you definetely want to visit.
Sea of coulds would be seen early in the morning, dawn to around 8am while lower temperature, from late September to early April. The best season would be from late November to early December, which more possibility sea of clouds appear.

Tomogashima 友ヶ島

The second "Real world of Castle in the Sky" in Japan is "Tomogashima" in Wakayama Prefecture. "Tomogashima", which is a group of islands with ruins that were abandoned after World War II.
20 minutes by ferry from Kada Port, where you get off, you will see the real world of the movie, Castle in the Sky! Especially, the "Tomogashima 3rd Battery Ruins" has a very mysterious and its atmosphere which you would feel something like time travel back there.

Bitchu Matsuyama Castle 備中松山城

Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, which is one of a national important cultural property, and is a castle built near the summit of Mt. Woushi at an altitude of 430m which is the highest altitude built castle, with existing castle tower, in Japan.
The sea of clouds often appears from autumn to winter, and the view from the Omatsuyama Observatory is truly a "castle in the sky.", attracts visitors with mysterious beautiful view.
